Owner‑Brewmaster Rob and Owner‑General Manager Ryan from All My Friends Beer Co. zoomed into St. Catharines to lead a guided session on their brewing philosophy, followed by an open Q&A as we drank their delicious beers. This was a big hit with everyone. A few enthusiasts later said that they were drinking the best beer of the night while listening and learning.
Key takeaways from the session:
Treat craft beer—especially IPAs—as an agricultural product. Freshness matters. Flip the can and check the canning date and aim to drink IPAs within the first couple of weeks.
Collaboration keeps craft beer alive. Working with other producers strengthens craft beer and protects independent brewing.
Quality and scale must align. Brewing the highest‑quality beer in the right quantities ensures that All My Friends can grow sustainably while maintaining a consistently excellent customer experience.
Passion drives the work at All My Friends. It was clear that both Rob and Ryan love what they do and are deeply dedicated to craft beer.
GERMAN PILSNER – Collab w. Mellon Brasserie
ALL MY FRIENDS BEEER CO.
Picton (PEC), ON
GERMAN-STYLE PILSNER • 4.7% ABV
Hops: Tettnang
For this collaboration, we looked to Central Germany for inspiration, aiming for a style that is deeply flavourful, balanced, and incredibly approachable. We utilized three distinct specialty malts to build a rich, layered depth of flavour that serves as the perfect foundation. On the hop side Mellon Brasserie sourced and imported Tettnang hops themselves directly from a small, independent hop farm in Germany. The result is a beautifully balanced lager featuring a vibrant, classic hop character backed by a satisfying, bready malt depth. It is rich in flavour, incredibly delicious, and effortlessly easy drinking.

Even with these tiny pours, the progression feels like a full narrative arc: bright juice, tropical intensity and finally creamy, nectaron‑driven decadence with the alcohol beautifully hidden throughout. FIREFLY (2026)
BADLANDS BREWING
Caledon, ON
IPA – NEW ENGLAND • 6.5% ABV
Hops: Freestyle Motueka
Firefly is our brightest, and most multi-faceted single hop expression of a classic New Zealand hop variety: Motueka.
One of our favourite things about Motueka from Freestyle hops is that it not only imparts incredible flavour and aroma in our beer, but it also imparts a gorgeous soft and full mouthfeel that amplifies our already plush base beer; which is why we felt compelled to give this hop the solo treatment in its own beer!
We taste a layered and lovely lemon/lime note complimented by tropical fruit.

EXPLOSION FREQUENCY (2026)
BADLANDS BREWING
Caledon, ON
IPA – NEW ENGLAND • 8.2% ABV
Hops: Citra, Loral
We have no idea what an explosion frequency is. It’s just two words that sounded cool when said aloud. Explosion Frequency is a DIPA brewed with Citra and Loral hops. Loral is a hop we’ve always really liked but couldn’t find a place for in our lineup. With strategic dosing of Loral, it completely changes the way Citra is presented, and we absolutely love it.

BOURBON COUNTY BRAND CHERRIES JUIBILEE STOUT (2025)
GOOSE ISLAND BEER CO.
Chicago, IL
STOUT – IMPERIAL / DOUBLE • 14.5% ABV
As stout ages, Goose Island’s brewers often observe a range of fruit expressions that emerge from the barrel and from time itself. Inspired by the flambéed dessert classic Cherries Jubilee, 2025 Bourbon County Brand Cherries Jubilee Stout captures the essence of cognac-soaked cherries and caramelized citrus.
The beer began its aging journey in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, which impart rich layers of oak, warm vanilla and subtle baking spice. It was then finished in cognac barrels, adding elegant notes of dried fruit and contributing to a rich, full mouthfeel.
Following the aging process, the stout was blended with Montmorency cherries, citrus, and panela–resulting in a velvety, decadent beer with flavors of candied dark cherry, soft vanilla and a caramelized citrus finish.
